Sta per uscire una versione in DVD di Blade Runner editata e rimasterizzata digitalmente, che conterrà parecchie scene inedite e un finale (quello originariamente nella sceneggiatura) mai visto su grande schermo. Sembra ormai assodato (ed esiste anche una dichiarazione di Ridley Scott a proposito) che tale nuova versione del film si basava sull’idea che lo stesso protagonista Deckard fosse un replicante.
